5 minutes from the sea, 1 mile from capo di feno, a little over 2 miles from bonofacio, at the very foot of the Ermitage of Trinity, the hamlet Bocca di Feno overlooks two magnificient bays whose translucent waters reveal the splendors of the sea bottom. To the southeast rise the high cliffs under Bonofacio, the strangest village in Europe: 7 miles away to the south lies Sardinia. To the south of the Ermitage of Trinity, center of pilgrimages from which one has a panorama of all the southern extremity of Corsica, impressive rocks are a striking contrast to the surrounding maquis. Built in the middle of nearly 8 acres of maquis, harmonizing with the site, the hamlet Bocca di Feno has independent little villas close to Tonnara Beach where excellent restaurants serve fish, lobster, and Corsican dishes. Bocca di Feno aims at being a haven of calm, where each can find the activity or peace he wishes. Two tennis courts, a volley ball court, bowling alleys for pétanque are at the disposal of residents. Opportunities for snorkelling, undersea hunting, and splendid promenades on foot. Bocca di Feno is a great windsurf spot, well-known troughout Europe. The village being on the west coast (4 kms away from the beach), close to the east coast (10 kms), both eastern and western winds are blowing. |
